Making statements is a part of the political process. Taking a stand on the issues at hand and not faltering. Throughout Jay-Z’s career he’s been a man of his word and his opinions on pop culture changed the game. Music. Fashion. Accessories. Remember when everyone flipped from Gold to Plat? Blame ya boy Jigga. If you liked Brooklyn (Go Hard), you need peep DOA (Death of Autotune) right now. Even though his little brother used autotune for a whole album, it’s about time the fad fucks off. Jay has the respect of the streets for being able to crossover with massive commercial bangers, yet still remain relevant to those who helped get him there. Line after line you’ll get shivers with this taste test of what’s to come on The Blueprint III. Classic beatmaker No ID programs a nasty track with one of the most disgusting guitar licks Hip-Hop has ever witnessed. The way Jay takes ‘the emcee’ to task for forgetting what the moniker stands for, is beautiful. Here’s hoping Death of Auto Tune is the catalyst for just that.
