Lyrics Born - Everywhere At Once

It is crazy to say but I have seen Lyrics Born live almost more than I have heard him on record. His unique voice and style bring a completely different man to mind when I listen to the album. Regardless, both live and in the studio he has the mindset and energy it takes to succeed as a solo artist. The benefit of having the album is the lyrical clarity and of course the repeat button for all the hot party joints you will want to hear several times. You don't get a name like Lyrics without being somewhat of an intellectual and he prooves it on Everywhere at Once. LB turns everyday romance tales and headaches into relatable verse. The preceding should not read as a disclaimer for no fun, and not to understate but Lyrics Born's music is just that, fun. While his all too honest I'm a Dude is funny; he dives into the major diffences that push relationships apart with the casual, "I'm a dude / it's not an excuse it's the truth!" Throughout the album, the basslines and rhythms are funky and the ever-growing female quotient in the Hip-Hop fanbase will be right on board. One of the signature voices in the game for a long time, I love the low, almost Barry White sound he musters, which really comes out in on I'm A Phreak. Pick up the album and lookout for the tour 'cause it is gonna be a party!
