In a world of mass marketing schemes and subliminal messages in ads, those who realize you can't beat the machine, choose to ride the wave, and prosper like they were born with a platinum spoon in they mouth. Amongst the biggest money-makers are those in the urban music industry. You can find those who took advantage of their moments in the spotlight to the fullest and reaped the benefits of having a devout fanbase ready to put their money in the air for any product they pushed. One of the best at it these days is your favorite uncle, Snoop D-O-double G. That's right, the Doggfather himself has perhaps one of the most recognizable Hip-Hop images that he's mastered and manipulated throughout the years, capitalizing like a true hustler. From back in his early days as Doggy Dogg, to his new more mature Niggaracci persona, Snoop has always released both entertaining and creative merchandise. Album covers showed an affinity towards comic books and animation from jump, so it shouldn't come as any surprise that since he's done making green off the adult movie industry (only temporarily perhaps), he's just released an animated DVD called Bigg Snoop Dogg Presents The Adventures of Tha Blue Carpet Treatment. The concept seemed dope enough, take a popular recent release from the 213 O.G. and turn it into a full-length animated movie where the story unfolds around every single track from the album in vivid, uncensored illness. The movie was better than expected fo sho, and started off with a hilarious intro featuring Money Mike himself, aka Katt Williams, kickin it with Snoop and breakin' him off some of that bomb chronic. From there on in, things get real sticky-icky and the plot progresses nicely accompanied by a gang of hood certified cuts featuring the likes of some real playaz such as E-40 Fonzarelli, Nate Dogg and The Game. The quality of the animation at first seemed a bit sub-par by today's high-tech CG standards, but real recognize real and you'll love the old school flava and indepth work that was put into this flick. So sit back, relax, and fire up the sensi 'cause you're in for one hell of a magically funk fueled ride.
