B-Real’s boomed out pilgrimage to Vancouver was for the purpose of rocking the stage at Fortune Sound Club, and that he did.
Early in the evening the crowd was only interested in one thing - the funky nasal stylings of 1/3 of Cypress Hill. But daps go to the opening acts who were energetic and enthusiastic in their delivery, in spite of a preoccupied and zoned-out crowd.
Once the Cypress Hill beats were on and B-Real’s cone got anointed…oh man, Hits From the Bong! B-Real’s classic vocals sounded kosher through Fortune’s magnificent speakers. You could tell everyone was really satisfied to hear him bust all the classics and then some. I mean how many tracks has this dude been on?
Backing up on the ones n’ twos was legendary Julio G.! I clocked a lot of hours in San Andreas, and it was good to see the real artist. B-Real and Julio executed some intense emceeing/DJing speed switcheroo stuff…real tricky shit! You had to have been there. Word is that Cypress Hill will be doing a show for us here real soon.
Thanks to the rad staff at Fortune and to all the social and far-left extremist friends at the show. Legalize it!
