Sometimes you can love something so much, you don't want to share it with anyone else. Maybe a couple people…your close friends. In that way it becomes a little more yours and a little more special to the people who share it with you. So, I'm going to try to do my best and not be selfish with Locke & Key. Go read it! The sooner the better. You'll thank me, I promise. I'd prefer you buy it, not because I want to sell it to you, but because the writer and artist deserve to sell another copy for their hard work. However, if you can't buy a copy, borrow it or steal it online. You won't regret it.

The six books that make up Locke & Key are the very best parts of Harry Potter, yet possibly better. They share the magic and the character and a rich tapestry of their own histories. It's full of very real emotion and relatable characters that you will fall in love with and who will break your heart.

All six volumes are out in hardcover as I write this and it will only be months before the last volume is available in softcover. Creators Joe Hill and Gabriel Rodriguez have already been showered with praise for the series and the Hollywood vulture is circling high above, ready with its attempts to turn it into a TV series or movie. So, I guess there are plenty of people who already know how unbelievably great this series is…maybe even some of you reading this. To me, it still feels personal when you read it. Like it's yours and no one else's. If you're looking for a new series to pick up and you only bother to read the very best, I want to share this with you.
