Jay-Z turned 40 last Friday and celebrated the milestone with a birthday bash over the weekend in the Dominican Republic. Jay-Z rented a mansion at the Casa de Campo resort and hired two private jets to fly in 60 invited guests, including Kayne West, Sean Combs, Mary J. Blige, Alicia Keys, Lil' Wayne, Oprah Winfrey, Alex Rodriguez and Kate Hudson. It was Jay-Z's birthday, but his better half, Beyonce, and his mom, Gloria, were the guests of honor. Tiger Woods was on the invite list, but didn't attend. Diddy gave a toast and the birthday boy delivered an impromptu rendition of 'Empire State of Mind' with Keys. The party, which featured a huge fireworks display, synchronized swimmers and a 1920s gangster theme, lasted until 5 am. Beyonce hosted a surf-and-turf brunch for the guests at the mansion the next day.
